    As far as that " Swoop " at the beginning and end of the cut. I have evolved into cutting the log 6" or 12" longer and just trim the ends afterwards. The " Swoop " is hard to avoid for some reason.

    I have 2 horns that have some "splinters" is the best way to say it, sort of crackled crud that I can't seem to fully get rid of after using a wire brush on a drill. Do you have a better tool or process for scraping out the inside of some horns?

    You have done well. The elders is best traditionally, offering tobacco. It is honorable to follow their teachings and after a few times you will never forget. Yes, the top binding is clock wise, 3 wraps, snapping the line to lay it in tightly. Then tying it off. Yatah hei HungryWulf

    Nice little tip with the sharpie. I'm still up in the air on which to get because reviews are all over the place for the cheap machines. I kind of want one with a hopper for leaves

    • @MakersMovementDIY

      The sheath that the knife is in is too large, as it was designed for the HOG 4.5. The one that she is making will fit the knife perfectly.

    great video, is it possible to leave it up all year round?

    • @MakersMovementDIY
      @MakersMovementDIY 3 місяці тому

      Absolutely but it will severely reduce the lifespan. Its better if you live in it, and keep a fire, then it will stay dry year roud and it will have lesser impact on the canvas. But eventually the sun and rain will erode the integrity of the fabric.

    Absolute best depiction of a bank robber knot I've found on UA-cam. Most examples use a lot of rope -- probably for demonstration purposes, to make it easier to see -- and when it's time to pull it tight, there's a lot of play and the "horse" has much too much rope. Thanks so much

    A little tip from me. I protekt the smoke flap pockets from wearing out by inserting blunt little cow horn tips into them. It also holds them open to insert the poles easier.
